| The
story behind EMP's distinctive logo |
|
|
| EMP's distinctive logo is based on a
cartoon of the first Duke of Wellington. The cartoon was originally
published by Thos. McLean in October 1827. It was entitled "A
Wellington Boot or the Head of the Army".
EMP chose the
cartoon because Wellington attributed his success to the use of
intelligence. Asked one day for the secret of his success the Iron
Duke replied that "it was knowing what was going on the
other side of the hill better than any other man". Today,
EMP follows this approach.
